Text Box: AquaWebII is a 32-bit Windows application that provides local and remote access and network management services between a PC and the H2O/S operating system software. This program is XP compatible and will interface with Octopus 3000s, Octopus 4000s and Aquanode controllers. It’s sole function is to help non-technical users with the complex task of monitoring water quality. AquaWeb allows any data stored in either an Octopus 4000, 3000 or AquaNode to be downloaded to the PC, and displayed in an easy to understand graphical format. See Octopus specifications for PC requirements. Now shipping version 1.3 released August 2005.
To connect either an Octopus or AquaNode directly to a PC requires an AquaWeb RS-232 PC Cable (63-010870-10'; 63-010871-25'; 63-010872-50'). Remote communications require both a Modem (63-200186) or Ethergadget (63-205095) and a Modem/Ethergadget Cable (63-010806).

Text Box: The Aquadyne Ethernet Terminal Server (EtherGadget) connects serial communications products such as AquaNodes, AquaGuards, and Octopus Controllers to Ethernet networks using the IP protocol family. Communication is established through the use of TELNET sessions between AquaWeb II and the EtherGadget device.

To establish communications over the network each EtherGadget needs to have a STATIC IP address defined for it, along with a port number defined to direct communications. Configuration of the IP address and port number is done by user via terminal emulation program such as Hyper-Terminal.
